Resisters and
Rescuers...What can we learn
from them?
Period 1 Essay Winner - Rob Key
Did you
know there are many races all around the world, but
not all of them get along? There are
people that think they are better than everybody else.
You can find prejudiced people all over the
world. A lot of it is in the People sometimes call
other people out by their race. Once I
heard a kid call another kid a white
cracker. The other kid got offended, but
what if it happened to the other kid – he would then feel offended. Kids can be friends with anybody no matter
what their race is – White, Black, Puerto Rican, Asian, Blue, or Purple. You should never just judge a book by its
cover. When the kids are at a younger
age, their parents teach them to act cruel to other people just because
of the
color of their skin, and when the kids get older, they do the things
they watched
their parents do to other innocent people.
Being prejudiced will not make the world better – they just think it’s cool. Those people that are prejudiced are setting a bad example for the little kids. If people would just get along, the world would be a better place. If they keep it up, we are going to end up with another Civil War. Just remember to treat people the way they want to be treated. -- Rob KeyThis webpage is available online at http://www.lite.iwarp.com/resist9.html |
