Media is an important part of our students’ lives. How do we incorporate popular culture and the media into the everyday classroom?  More importantly where does the academic world stand on the need for such a literacy to be incorporated in a versatile, viable and credible curriculum for our schools? This segment offers a discussion of why media literacy education is increasingly important in K-12 classrooms and in all subject areas.  Research and instructional ideas will be shared.
