What does it do? Netscape Composer is
a free and simple program with tools to help you create, revise and publish
web pages. It comes as part of the free Internet browser software called
Netscape Communicator. It works much like a word processor in which
you create links, add images, and format text. |
| How does this
tie in with comprehension strategies in Grades 4-8? Students can practice
using new types of media to communicate their ideas to others around the
world. By designing their own web page, they'll be more prepared
to evaluate the effectiveness of web pages designed by others. They'll
become more competent with organizing information in a non-linear manner
and in generating text and images that complement each other in sending
a certain message to their audience. |
