Creative Writer
	What does it do? Creative Writer includes some inspiring drawing, painting and desktop publishing tools for students. There are many ideas for customizing writing projects, publishing them online, and solving the dilemma of writer's block.
How does this tie in with reading and writing strategies in Grades 4-8? Students can become more familiar with desktop publishing techniques, an imporatant area of media literacy, as they explore various writing styles and produce written and visual texts to express, develop and substantiate ideas and experiences. Students can practice the conventions of traditional ways to publish information or can explore new avenues for publishing with more contemporary designs. The tools encourage writers to develop their own personal flair and style for presenting sharing their thoughts with others.
